ICAS - Daniel and Florence Guggenheim Award
The Distinguished Lectureship Award is intended to recognise and honour a scientist or engineer of eminence who in a long and productive career has made a significant contribution to progress in aeronautics.

Citation: Adnan Raghdo is an accomplished engineering leader and corporate executive with 35+ years in the aerospace industry. He is renowned for his strategic vision and pivotal role in advancing engineering.
ICAS – von Karman Award for International Cooperation in Aeronautics
Its purpose is to acknowledge exceptional achievement in international cooperation in the field of aeronautics, being awarded to a project or programme in which two or more countries are major participants and which is characterised by substantial technical achievement, scientific or technological advance or benefit to society.

ICAS - Award for Innovation in Aeronautics
Its purpose is to recognize contributions of an individual or a team in effectively integrating a suite of advanced technologies, combined with new design and/or manufacturing processes, to create a new aeronautical system with significant worldwide impact.
- Véronique Roca
Citation: Véronique Roca’s role as Lead Engineer for the Beluga XL project showed her to be a leader of extraordinary technical rigor and visionary management. Her dedication ensured a successful program delivery, generating a transformative upgrade to Airbus’s cargo transport capabilities. Now, as Senior Chief Engineer in Airbus Commercial Aircraft, Véronique is setting new standards for innovation and leadership in aerospace engineering.
ICAS – Maurice Roy Medal
Its purpose is to honour persons of distinction who have an exceptional record in fostering international cooperation between scientists by their personal participation and involvement in aeronautics.

Citation: For exceptional leadership uniting international researchers to advance CFD, high-lift aerodynamics, and certification by analysis through open collaboration and shared vision.
ICAS - John J. Green Award
Its purpose is to honour young persons of distinction who are demonstrating an exceptional record in fostering international cooperation between scientists by their personal participation and involvement in aeronautics.
- Rafael Sousa Martins
Citation: Dr. Rafael Sousa Martins has advanced international aeronautical research through pioneering work on plasma physics, lightning effects on aircraft, and advanced airborne sensors. He initiated and leads major multinational collaborations—including the IFAR project ELECTRI-FLY with ONERA, NASA, JAXA, NRC, NLR and DLR—delivering new understanding of cloud electrification and lightning risk. His leadership in France–Japan (ONERA–JAXA) and France–USA (ONERA–MIT) partnerships has produced impactful experiments, publications, and award-winning results, exemplifying scientific excellence and international cooperation in aeronautics.
ICAS - John McCarthy Student Awards
The Award or Awards, consisting of a certificate and a stipend, will be given to the author (or authors, should there be more than one who satisfies the qualifying criteria) of the paper the quality of content and presentation of which is judged to be the best or second best of those presented at the Congress.

ICAS – IFAR Award
The purpose of the ICAS-IFAR Award is to honour an individual who has made a significant contribution to Aeronautical Science within his/her doctoral thesis (PhD or equivalent). For the first time the ICAS-IFAR Award is presented to two awardees.

ICAS Award for Distinguished Service to ICAS
To honour an individual who has made a significant contribution or provided an exceptional service that helped to advance the vision and goals of ICAS. This contribution or service should be provided as a member of the ICAS organisation including Committees or Subcommittees, the Council, and the local Congress organising committee. The recipient of this Award could receive this award more than one time.
- Bruno Stoufflet
Citation: Bruno has been supporting ICAS over many decades in all kind of perspectives. He was the leading connection to the France Member Organisation 3AF.
- Dimitri Mavris
Citation: Dimitri has excelled in his role as Past President and has attracted numerous new Member and Association Member organisations to ICAS. He is an extremely active ambassador to our organisation
- Karl Rein-Weston
Citation: Karl started as a member to the jury of the Student competition exactly 2 decades ago in Hamburg, Germany. He chairs the Award committee since the ICAS Congress in Brisbane 2012 and does this with an outstanding passion and focus.
ICAS Honorary Fellows
The ICAS Council may grant the status of “Honorary Fellow” to individuals who in the opinion of the Council have distinguished themselves by virtue of their exceptional personal contributions, or through exceptional service to the objectives of ICAS.
- Dimitri Mavris
Citation: Professor Dimitri N. Mavris is being honored with the status of ICAS Honorary Fellow, which is the highest recognition of the International Council of the Aeronautical Sciences, for his exceptional continuing dedication and services to advance aeronautical engineering practice and sciences, and his visionary leadership towards the consolidation and expansion of ICAS role in the world of aeronautics.
